Last night we had another successful “Monday in the Park” in Faribault. Despite the cool, somewhat rainy weather, over 50 people gathered to socialize, play games with kids, share some food, and just enjoy time together. We are continuing to meet every Monday evening in June and July from 6:30 to 7:30 pm in the park behind the Faribault Middle School. While the focus is on socializing and English practice for women and children, all are welcome to come meet some new friends. Join us if you can!
Hulett Success!
The National Night Out event was a huge success, despite the rain that ended things early. Many families turned out to enjoy the hot dogs, chips, balloons, games, moonwalk and raffles. Many thanks to Target in Northfield for donating one of the bikes we raffled off! Several people even stopped by to get information and resources. Most importantly, the residents of Hulett met their Growing Up Healthy neighborhood leaders and started to build some strong connections.
Hulett Neighborhood Event
The Canon River Manufactured Home Park (aka Hulett) is having a big celebration for National Night Out this Friday, August 8th from 6 to 8 PM. Growing Up Healthy neighborhood leaders will be there to meet their neighbors, hand out balloons, talk to folks about resources available in the county, and even raffle off a bicycle. Come join us if you can!
