Isabel Llamas Hernandez

Isabel joined the GUH team in November 2022. She’s a Growing Up Healthy Coordinator and Rice County ParentChild+ Early Learning Specialist in Northfield and Faribault.

Where did you grow up, and how long have you lived in the Faribault area?

I was born and raised in Orange County, California. I lived in Northfield from October 2016 to May 2021. I moved to Faribault in May 2021.

What is your educational and/or work background?

I’ve worked in customer service for over 5 years. 

Why did you take this job with GUH?

I want to be able to help families.

What are your main job responsibilities?

I visit families that have younger children and present new books/toys each week. 

What do you like most about the job?

When you find a way to help families, you have this amazing feeling in your heart – that’s the best.

What’s the most challenging part of your job?

At the moment not having a full caseload.

What are your hopes and dreams for the community where you work?

I hope that more families with young children in the community join ParentChild+.

What do you do for fun?

I love going to Target with my daughter.
